Hi Richard,
The best place to post queries about MEditor is EuForum since there
are a few other users who read that list that might be able to help.
I've answered you queries below and cc'd this to that list.

I'll remove that email address from the help screen for the next
release.

Correct

You can read my mind. MEditor knows nothing whatsoever about variable
names, it only handles routine names and them only from the last time
the user ran Tools/Parse for Context Sensitive Help.
Of course if someone else adds a fast, low memory overhead, bug free,
way to do this (including variable definitions and their scope) as you
type, then I'll incorporate the required changes to the next release.
But, frankly, it isn't going to happen.

OK, I am assuming you are not deep into modifying MEditor but have
loaded the sources and everything into C:\Euph_ED\ and are now
attempting to use that as a working directory for your other programs.
I'll explain my setup:
My editor lives in C:\Editor, though it could be anywhere, and I work
on other programs in separate directories. I've created a shortcut on
my start menu, by dragging and dropping editor.exw onto the start
button and then right clicking it, changing the properties to run
C:\EUPHORIA\BIN\EXW.EXE C:\EDITOR\EDITOR.EXW
That is then the only thing you need to change if you move the editor
somewhere else.

Within C:\Euphoria I have created a win32lib directory into which I
unpack Derek's latest win32lib and changed my autoexec.bat to include
the line SET EUINC=C:\EUPHORIA\WIN32LIB\INCLUDE

Hence the editor runs with it's own slightly hacked and out of date
version of win32lib but everything else I develop can use the latest
and greatest version.

Alternatively you can copy the win32lib include files into each new
project directory. Note that any include files in the current working
directory will be selected in preference to any found via EUINC.

Regards,
Pete
