I'm hoping someone can give me a pointer here. This happens in alot of programs, the question is not really how do I fix this (well, obviously an answer to that would be ideal) but rather ****what is being called****? Eg: EXW caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0157:bff78da9. Registers: EAX=00000000 CS=0157 EIP=bff78da9 EFLGS=00010246 EBX=00000001 SS=015f ESP=0057efd0 EBP=0057f054 ECX=81acd4d4 DS=015f ESI=0057f0a6 FS=0e17 EDX=81acd00c ES=015f EDI=bffc1c2c GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 11 68 ec 03 00 00 e8 67 53 00 00 33 c0 e9 17 0b Stack dump: 00000002 00000000 00000080 000a000c 00040009 e7ffffff 00000000 00000000 81acd4d4 00000000 81acd4e4 000a000a 00000000 00000005 00000000 00000000 Similar often at bff789b9. I've wiped C: at least a dozen times this week and am now running win95. I am pretty certain this is a hardware-related problem, and probably something to do with timers, but if anyone can throw me a straw, I'll clutch at it Tia, Pete
