I fear I have opened Pandora's box with my original post on this.
I thought that the compatibility issues were important and everybody should be
aware of them. I have read Jeremy's replies and I can understand where he is
coming from. I can't say I agree completely but this is not a perfect world and
complete agreement is not an achieveable goal.

The version number should certainly by 4.0. When it is released there must be
fairly long alpha and beta versions so the extent of any problems can be properly
evaluated. Euphoria hasn't seen such extensive changes during my experience with
the language.
