memory sharing

    Does anyone know if there is a difference in the way peeks work between
win32 eu and dos32 eu?  I have two programs, one writes to a memmory
location a phrase, "hi there" and puts a memory location to the disk, the
other, reads the location from the disk, and uses the exact same peek
statment that I put at the end of the other program and gets a different
amount when it peeks.
    Sounds strange doesn't it.
