We had some discussions re calendar algorithms a while back.
       My son gave me a 300 page book, Calendrical Calculations which gives
lisp functions and English Algorithms:

        "We give a unified algorithmic presentation for 14 calendars of
current and historical interest: Gregorian (current civil), OSO, Julian (old
civil), Coptic, Ethiopic, Islamic (Moslem), modern Persian, Bahaii, Hebrew
(Jewish), Mayan, French Revolutionary, Chinese, old Hindu, modern Hindu.
Easy conversion among these calendars is a natural outcone of the approach...."

        Also given is the INet addr for one of the authors,  Edward M.
Reingold. This site gives much of the book info and links to oodles of other
calendar sites. It is:
