RE: What's nuking?

I've never had this experience, then again I don't chat over the Web. It=

sounds like nuking is the flooding of the line to your modem. I can
imagine the consequences.

Now, my two cents worth. I haven't had a lot of experience with this typ=
e
of programming, but I'll just put in my two cents worth. If the barrage
doesn't hit your modem, how do you know you're being nuked? Isn't
everything you see on a browser screen first transmitted through the mode=
m?
Not everything literally, but most of the material? So the nuke either
gets transmitted or is doesn't. If someone decies to overload your modem=

with 10k worth of garbage, you would have to have a valve that triggers
after some nuclear explosion, no matter how small. Am I making sense her=
e,
or am I just talking nonsense.
