Hi.

The best way to use Euphoria is to set up a proper work environment
from the outset.

1. Get yourself a decent editor. If you are using Windows then "MEdit"
(free) is
good. If you go for MEdit there are two versions from memory. One
(both?)
works "straight out of the box" with Euphoria. MEdit has some small bugs
but you can work around them. It also has syntax highlighting already
set up
    for Eu.

Another good editor is "Textpad" (shareware). It takes more to set up
for Eu
than MEdit but is an excellent editor.

Both of the editors above allow you to run your code direct from the
editor......
no need to resort to the DOS prompt! This in my opinion is a MUST.
Textpad can also be set-up to compile and make your programs using the
new
translator without having to leave the editor....very handy.

2. If you are running under Windows, Then get yourself one of the excellent
"help"
versions of the Euphoria documentation. I use the (slightly outdated)
one by
Fabio Ramirez. There is a more up-to-date one by Adam Weedon.

With the exception of Textpad, you can get these items via
www.rapideuphoria.com

    Get Textpad at www.textpad.com

Once you have a decent workspace, you'll learn fast.

Have Fun.

Mark
