Addressing the Netscape question... The short answer (if my memory serves): fat.db, in essence, stands for File Allocation Table DataBase -- the file which is created and used by Netscape to quickly index (read: speed up access to) the large number of temporary files that reside in the Disk Cache directory. Delete fat.db? ... Netscape will simply make another the next time it needs to handle cache activity. BTW: You'll just create an access violation if you try to delete fat.db with Netscape "launched". -Roger Maidie2 at aol.com wrote: > And the questions of the week: > What is that darned fat.db file in my Windows (95 and 2000) - History or > Netscape-User-Cache folder?
