I would have thought Slackware would have come with a Telnet daemon???

Do a "man telnetd". All Linux distro's I have tried have come with
telnet daemons by default. (I have only tried about 3 distributions)

Are you after a telnet client?
Windows comes with a very basic one called telnet.exe!!!
should be in c:\windows or \windows\system.

If your after a more advanced telnet client for Windows have a look
for Tera Term Pro ... my favourite!

It comes with source I "think" (from a bad memory).

I quick look in the archives doing a search for telnet should list
at least one program that I can remember for a telnet client in
Euphoria.
