Moderation

For the past two days we've been experimenting with moderating this list continuously, 24 hours a day. You may have noticed that things have become somewhat more pleasant and productive. You may also have noticed that there are longer delays from the time you post a message until the time it's distributed. On balance, I think it's worth continuing this experiment. I expect I'll be doing most of the moderation, but there are several other volunteers who also know how to moderate, and can do so when I'm away from my machine (sleeping, etc.), or at any other time. The other moderators may have their own policies, but my goal is simply to eliminate bad posts: e.g. abusive or threatening posts flames totally off-topic posts excessive use of foul language huge attachments or .exe's excessive number of posts by one person in a short time "test" messages - I'll reply requests to unsubscribe - I'll deal with it My goal is *not* to eliminate negative comments about Euphoria or myself. In most cases, I won't reply to the offender. I'll just delete the message. In rare cases a perfectly good message might be lost due to human or computer error. Let me know if you think this has happened to you, but wait a few hours first. Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com
