That's because you are trying to bind a .ex file with bindw. You should pass a .exw file to bindw.bat, and then it will prompt you for an icon. That's a cool feature, as an icon for Win32 programs was realy neccesary. Only quick graphics demos and such don't have icons in the Windows world.
