Lost to the list

You can pretty well chalk me up as lost to this new list.
It won't show but 25 messages at a time.
I can see the advantage of limiting the number of messages
as 25 for default. But, I would like to show the subject
of say 50, 100, or maybe 150 at once.

This limit it is very small considering the number of messages
that pass by this list everyday.  Yeah, yeah, I know I could
actually recieve this list in my Email like NORMAL people.
But, I don't what my email littered with what mostly doesn't
pertain to me in any way.  So, I guess I will lurk but will
catch next to nothing because the 25msgs on one screen is just
far to limiting for me.
