RE: Server available?

Understood.. My main concern was that of not being able to access attachments from the web interface, but that is strictly limited to those who CHOOSE to use web-only mode.. The other major concern was the digest interval problem.. It seems I may have solved that though.. will find out shortly.. I tried resetting daily digests.. Thought maybe the change didn't register with the topica preferences for some unknown reason.. Seems as though it may be working correctly now though. as I have set digest mode for myself to find out what the problem is, and my last EUforum digest contained only 4 posts, instead of 10.. This tells me it's in daily digest mode, but may just be backup mechanism by topica, due to the lack of recent posts.. I still think it would be a good idea to utilize the oppurtunity that is presented... I'm sure there are ways that the offer could be put to some use.. IE a chat server.. I for one, would LOVE it.. so would Kat.. and quite a few others whose names avoid me.. Many people have requested it at various times.. If someone was willing to develop a chat server for use on the RDS site, would you, Rob be willing to link to it? The only way it's going to work is if it's available and supported via RDS.. Maybe someone other than you could administrate the chat server, as long as you provide the interface on your site for those who don't know how to use chat programs, like mIRC.. and basic instructions for general use, and connection via chat programs.. It would also be oppurtune for setting up some sort of polling/survey systems.. It's also a place to store past and present archives.. with a search utility.. Posts could be segregated in various forms.. to accomodate those who wish to get DL's of all the posts containing code/attachments.. as well as categorized into months/days/years etc.. I can think of other ways this could be of great assistance to better the ease of use and preferences of various users.. It can be used in conjuction with the topica list.. What say? Pretty please!? {:o)> Chris Robert Craig wrote: > Chris Bensler writes: > > Rob?
