[FWD: RE: Server available?]

Sounds excellent, thank you for the offer.. will this stand for a while?
It may take some time to get a functioning mail server up and running,
that would be sufficient enough to replace the current one..

How long could the Eu listserver stay on your server? You're stable
where you are? It would be quite a shame to move the list yet again and
find out that we have to get it off the server a month/year down the
road..

Also, is anyone interested in taking on the task? I would gladly do it,
but I have no knowledge of networking..

How about Ray? You seem to be quite knowledgable in that field..

I'm quite sure Rob would be willing to compensate for the effort.. if he
agrees that it is a good idea..

Keep in mind.. Rob needs to approve this idea..

Any other suggestions/comments/options?

Chris

Chris

I mentioned that I have a web server a while back but no one was
interested.
I also suggested that we have a client/server chat program written
entirely
in Euphoria when there were discussions about Eu chat rooms. I never
mentioned a listServ developed in Eu, but that seems like a neat idea.
The
servers I have in my offices currently only have about 9 to 15 websites
on
each NT box, so it's not very crowded. Also, the e-mail servers only
handle
traffic for the existing web sites so mail is as quick as any other mail
server.

Any way, that's all I have to offer.

Subject: Server available?

Did someone mention they have a server that they would be willing to
donate space on for the Eu mailing list?

I beleive someone mentioned this before, but the details escape me..
It was also mentioned, the possibility of dev'ing and ListServ using EU.
I think this would be the best solution to our the current problem/s..
would look good for RDS too..
Then we could implement whatever features we wanted/require.

Rob? What do you think?

Chris
