Win32LIb: RichEdit scroll bars and font

Well when I went into my RichEdit editor version I remembered two things: How do I know when the RichEdit scrollbars are moved? I assigned them to the RichEdit with WS_HSCROLL and WS_VSCROLL style. OnScroll does not work with them since they have no control name, unless there is something I'm missing in my understanding of RichEdit. The other problem was changing the font changes the font of whatever is behind the window containing the RichEdit, for example, the windows desktop or windows explorer.
