Hi Mic, thats something we should talk about. It's not a question of "respect" or not (however thanks for beeing so polite) but a question that should be solved by exchanging diffrent opinions. Many people think like you and ... this has good reasons. I would say "you are right from your point of view". Now change the view-point. Go to a position where you look from a high mountain down to the whole programming language-scene, also take an overview over the small (but fast Euphorians. And re-think things und the aspect of "what should be changed here to make them equal (and equal succesful) as those other languages around ?". So when I am writing about those things its just from that "View-Point". It's not the "Vierw-Point" typically an "scene-insider" has. Take as example a Motor-bike club. Someone says he wants in the Club-Magazin an article how to change the light-bulb's ... to make the magazin more popular for the "outside-people". Can you imagine the discussion ? (Please don't ask me to write that article . So the question is "what can we do to make Euphoria as easy as possible for everyone" and "what can we do to make it from the design to something that doesn't look tooo exotic" so that it will be accepted by the main-stream. Maybe I shouldn't say "why does Photoimpact do all the registrations (file-types) for its customers instead of saying "if someone doesn't know to associate a filetype with a program the he/she *needs* to buy a book ..." but its an good example for people having a commitement not to judge about their customers but to do the best to make it as easy as possible and as "automatic" as possible for them. If you want to help to make Euphoria more popular (and this will be good for all of us ) then we should do just the same succesful commitement and try to make things as easy and as "automatic" as possible where-ever possible. There were at the end enough adventures to solve left. What do you think ? With all due respect, if someone doesn't know to associate a filetype with a program the he/she *needs* to buy a book covering basic Windows operation. They're supposed to program but they don't even know how their computer or OS works.. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
