Power Managment on Laptops

Has anyone worked out a way to suspend the
power managment timer that may be set by users
of windows with Laptops?
I have a Laptop and have set the timer to turn my
monitor off at 20 min, haveing done this, I realized
while running a Dos32 program written in Euphoria
and not touching my mouse pad for 20 min
the machine hung and required reboot to correct.
I couldnt even get back into Windows...

BTW, I have the registered version of the Eu 2 C
translator and,believe it or not the registered ver
runs most benchmark prog faster than the non reg ver.
