Thanks for your interest in the next release. I never decide on pricing until a few days before an alpha release. At the moment we are still at the "preview" release level for 3.0. I'm working on multitasking in the official (C backend) interpreter and the Translator, having already released the PD source with multitasking. Multitasking in the official interpreter is basically done. Multitasking in the Translator is working but there are still a couple of machine-level glitches to track down. After multitasking is all done, I have several smaller (as yet undecided) features to do, before I can pull everything together for a 3.0 alpha release on all platforms. So it could be a while before any prices are announced. (The Canadian dollar has only gained slightly on the U.S. dollar since the last release, so that won't be a factor this time.)
