A few small points:
1) The original title was not really intended as a "moan", afaict
2) It does help to keep the original thread title. Arguably some posts
warranted a change of subject: case in point: yours )
3) Some old-timers will always be somewhat disappointed by a new
release/announcement/lack of change, but they are still here, a fact
that no doubt amuses RC a little 
4) It is also very easy to mistake genuine discussion (which is a very
necessary thing, imo) for repetitive whining.
