Avi java

Hi everyone, I'm writting because I want to write
a java applet that will allow webTV users to watch
avi files off the internet. Rate now the only type of movie
they can watch is .mpg. I'm trying to find some documents
on the process of decoding .avi files. thanks a bunch :)
