Current regular expression options
In the not too distant future I will be working with text
using regular expressions. I have looked through past user
submissions. There are several viable options. I am leaning
toward the PCRE pattern matching provided Apr 23, 2002 by Karl
Bochert (largely because of PERL compatibility).
I simply did a search for "regular expressions" in user
contributions and EUForm. Most of what I found was a bit old.
So I am seeking more up-to-date information.
Now my question(s):
Are there other good options available now that I should use?
In the experience of some Euphoria veterans, which available
option is best (that is, most powerful, robust, ...)?
I realize such a question is largely personal taste, such as,
my preference for PERL compatibility. But the opinions of
those who have already tried some regular expression parsing
in Euphoria is valuable. Just a note, my main interest is in
the Win32 world.
