I have found that the cracker took over the computer running my webserver, then used that to mess up my computer and post nonesense on Euforum. The server is fixed now, so it shouldn't happen again. > the web interface so I can't see the header. But seriously, perhaps you > might consider changing the account name and password and/or implement This pain in the neck has been able to crack complex 64 random character passwords in seconds! The last time this happened the cracker had used my computer to wage an all-out war on a game BBS, so it is probably my computer being used again... Since the posts started funny things have happened to this computer(like the time zone changing suddenly). I finaly found out the "base" post, it was part of an old, badly translated video game. The next line was, which the cracker appearently reffered to was: Cats: You are on the way to destruction. If I am on the way to destruction I would have expected more than my clock being changed! > better firewall protection. Or maybe "listfilter.com" could kick in... I am already using a hardware firewall in the router and Norton Internet Security, but that was what I was using last time... Since the cracker is likely using my computer, blocking IP addresses would only block me, just forcing the cracker to find another computer to continue. If it becomes too bad I may just have to shut down the cable modem, somthing I don't wan't to do... Last time the cracker eventually stopped, probably found someone else to bug. > > --Brian > PS: I no longer care about the 'no source' thing.
