My main issue is that I normally release my code as PD, completely unrestricted. I don't care if someone wants to use my code that I have given away to make money, that's great. I pay because it's cheaper than fixing it myself. Money allows people/companies to devote time and effort to ensuring quality and control of the product. Money also allows products to be advertised and advancements to be researched.
