I've posted the latest beta of the Py programming language at my website: http://www.lanset.com/dcuny/py.htm New features include: - Better handling of indexes - Fixed division by zero test in optimizer - Better error recovery - More error checks - Local vars have precedence - Line continuation char ('_') in interactive mode - Recognizes backslashes in strings - Changed 'self' to 'this' - Win32Lib version available Before anyone complains, a couple of minor nits about Win32 mode: 1. It's Slow Writing to the console in Win32 is *awful*. Does anyone know if calling the console I/O routines are any faster? If so, do the wrappers exist anywhere? I could write an emulated console in Win32Lib, which will probably make wrapping Win32Lib a bit more interesting. 2. The Console Always Appears This is a mistake on my part. I haven't figured how I want to redirect I/O, so I'm leaving it alone for the moment. As usual, bug reports are appreciated. Thanks! -- David Cuny
