with MS-Dos, you don't need emm386, himem is enough. With DR-Dos things are
different, because emm386 does the job of both (MS)himem and (MS)emm386, and
there is also a (DR)himem targeted on 286 platforms. there should be some
options to configure emm386. In the last release of DR-Dos (7.02) there was
a bug with emm386 messing up all the partition with euphoria- that's why I
went back to 6.22...
