IK 1.0
Hi all,
I haven't recieved any comments about InstallKit 1.0... did you get it?
Maybe you're mad at me because I didn't relase the source code? Please
understand that as the first version it uses some "experimental"
techniques (the SFX and how data is stored). I would like to have some
feedback to improve it. Once I've defined and perfected these
techniques I'll release the file format specifications and source
code (at least the algorithmic part). If I would post the code now,
probably I'll recieve millions of suggestions like: Hey if you put
this instead of that... I changed the atom for an int... etc...
And at this phase I don't care about optimization. But how it acts, and
new ideas (Password protection is already in my plans, as well as
multi spanning disk, and if god is great make the uncompression
routine faster, checking for available drives, group installations).
