I carefully plan where items and descriptions are placed, so I need to sit and do it by hand. besides how much space does 100 ASCII mazes take up anyway? (compressed, about 30k) As for Animator Pro, go buy it. I think it's only $595 now. =) I got it a few versions ago (Autodesk Animator version 1.0) and upgraded it a number of times since then. It doesn't have all the features of say photoshop, but for 256 color animations it stands head and shoulders above anything else I've worked with.
