I noticed his name in the Linux release notes for Eu v2.2, but I didn't make
the connection until now.

My main concern was that his work might have been abandoned for some reason.
As long as it's still being developed, and will see the light of day
eventually, that's fine by me.

Of course, if he makes the modifications you suggested and sends it in
early, I guess I won't complain!
