Hi there, [NOTE: This is a long "boring" post of me stop using Euphoria and leaving the mailing list. Only read if you are bored.] I'm signing off the Euphoria Mail List and want to thank everyone you has contributed to the list and contributed Euphoria Code to the RDS Web Site. It is really a great community and wish all of you all the best. Special thanks to David Cuny for Win32Lib and help. I've started using lcc-win32 a C compiler to write WINAPI programs. The learning curve is stepper and the C language isn't as consistant as Euphoria, but gives me the "end" results I'm after. If anyone is interested in C, WINAPI programming they are most welcome to drop an email into my inbox. I have found quiet a bit of info on the Web and also a few example WINAPI and sraight ANSI C programs that I'd be happy to pass onto anyone who is interested. I beleive Euphoria doesn't have the support libraries available to produce good quality windows software. Also the Euphoria community is heading towards LINUX and Cross Platform development which doesn't interest me at the moment. Alot of the things I want to do would mean me calling the WINAPI myself which meant a huge knowledge jump which I prefer to take with C as that's what all the doco and examples are in and gives me the full functionality of Windows. All the things I want to do are possible in Euphoria but "for me" the swap to C is more appropriate. I guess the other factor is that being a professional programmer, "C" is going to help me more in my career then Euphoria. I'll drop in on the RDS web site from time to time to see how it's all going. Thanks Again Ray Smith
