Thanks Ralf, I read your comments all of the time, and I would like to say that you are certainly one of the more helpful coders to grace these pages. I confess that this portion that I have brought to this table is not a sandwich, but more like a whole side of beef. (My apologies to the vegetarians out there, do not take what I just said as anything but jest!) I intend to explore ALL possibilities. Their is much that is lacking in this particular area, not just for my concerns, but for growth and strength to be added to EU also. Colin Taylor, All I can say is YES! There is no way to venture into serious business or technical programming without having the ability to use large character sets. Unicode as such is a built-in standard to Windows, but it has many pitfalls and is just not happening as it was intended to happen. I will be more than happy to work with you about constructing such a thing as a true 4-byte font library. Fantastic! There are many problems to avoid with this, let me tell you; most of all is an appreciation for the cultures and mind-sets of the peoples who need to use them to communicate. Again this is an area where Microsoft has been paying great attention over the last couple of months (but have just not gotten it right, due, of course, to their own particular mind-set). I am looking forward to helping with this in any way that I am able. Norm p.s. Jiri is on a busman's tour of Europe's Greatest Tennis-Courts, I presume. How utterly diabolical of him!
