I don't know what it could be. People are not reporting any bugs in the 2.5 binder. Maybe your PATH references corrupted directories or files (.dlls?) on your damaged C drive. You could try running: backendw.exe from the command line. When I do that, I get a message: "No Euphoria code to execute".
