Firstly, note the smilies. The smilie is generally accepted to indicate jesting and humor, often with the attached connotation of good will and feelings. Secondly, the reason I keep pointing out your unique mannerisms in regard to pointing out people's flaws/coding errors, is NOT because the act bothers me. I learn, as others, from this list, and in receiving feedback/bug reports. This feedback allows everyone to grow, and hopefully, not make the same mistake twice, nor a mistake that another has made. The *act* is fine, even commendable. That you would take time to help others grow is noble. I keep referencing the *act*, but now I will reference the *execution* of said act. This is the reason for my making the statements about your unique mannerisms, in what I had hoped would be received in a non-confrontational manner, and instead, received in a spirit of mutual growth. Up till this point, I've been trying, and apparently failing, to use subtlety, and gentle jesting, to casually inform you in a friendly manner, that you can be harsh in your posts, especially in your posts that correct anothers mistake(s). Granted: you are using a language for communication that is not your native tongue. However, many of us on this list have been trying to bestow upon you the gift and knowledge of how to phrase your replies/posts, in this language you are learning, with decorum and tact. Having this knowledge of decorum phraseology in another tongue is the first step towards the creation of posts and replies, in this non-native tongue, that have little chance of offending. I know of no one that *likes* to told they screwed up. Most like it even less when the informer of said FUBAR'ing is less than delicate when they are informing the informee. I know of several that are big enough to grow from it, especially if the pointing out of the flaw was done with sensitivity to the informee's feelings. So, yes, in one way it bothers me a great deal to watch (and even be the informee myself) when someone errs and the post that divulges that oversight is sharply phrased. And, no, it does not bother me to be informed of my oversights, if that is done with what i can discern as an attempt at graceful diatribe proffered in the spirit of growth and fellowship. I'm sure your intentions are most honorable, as just the simple fact that you do take the time to help/find errors and even real time debug (thanks again for popping in the server that day... it did help, and was part of the reason i managed to find what i'm lovingly calling the Kevin bug now :) which is when u have more that one user and anyone quits, the server crashed... geez, what a FUBAR I wrote that time, eh?) and just taking that time shows the honorable intentions. What myself and others are simply trying to help you with, is your implementation of said noble and _appreciated_ intentions. take care, and care of, indeed. _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/ _/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ ({<=----------------------------------------=>}) ({<=- http://members.xoom.com/Hawkes_Hovel> -=}) ({<=----------------------------------------=>})
