Hey Kat, who says that any of my code would be faster than yours when run on your machine? For that matter, if your code was run on my machine, who says that it would be slower than my code? Don't concede on the basis of your own hardware platform. The contest will be run on Robert's platform anyhow! The idea is to improve our Euphoria skills, not to see who has the beefiest machine. 4/03/2002 12:02:36 PM, Kat <gertie at PELL.NET> wrote: > >On 4 Mar 2002, at 10:20, Derek Parnell wrote: > >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Ray Smith" <smithr at ix.net.au> >> To: "EUforum" <EUforum at topica.com> >> Sent: Monday, March 04, 2002 9:47 AM >> Subject: RE: $100 Contest Question >> >> >> > My PC at work (PIII 650 Windows 2000 Professional) does this >> > in 2.36 seconds (for a 4,121,548 bytes sized file) >> > >> >> Okay, so I took the bait.
