Euphoria Chat Room - Brainstorming

Today I entered the Euphoria Chat room - guess this was about my 3rd effort - this time I was much more encouraged about the potential the chat room offers. I wonder if it would be possible for the chat room owner/operators to schedule special chat "events" and publish the date, time, topic in advance on this late, or perhaps even the RDS page - maybe Rob could include a chat event notice section under the link to the chat page? It has been noted that scheduling/live chatting times for a world wide community can be quite a problem. Yet in the case where there is a prominent developer or developers of a particular library - such as Win32lib, if such an authority on the library or topic could commit in advance to be available in the chat room on a certain date or time - there might be more incentive for others to visit the chat room. What I am saying is that scheduling such chat events should be determined by time which the authorites on the subject are available. I realize much of this is wishful thinking since time is such a valuable commodity for many, if not all of the major Euphoria Gurus. I think it would be neat for Rob (RDS) to commit to being in the chat room maybe twice a month - maybe at one time which might likely be convenient for Euphoria users in one Hemisphere, and a second chat convenient for users located in the other hemisphere. Two hours a month. Start time could be critical - if no one is there at the schedule time when he logs on... I wouldn't expect him to stay online. Just some thoughts. Ken Rhodes
