Eu doesn't need that. And since Sorcery has channel and nick services, you don't *need* people connected all the time to hold channel ownership, altho you can if you want. Just watch the clones of BeZeLBuB and scooby, 2 isn't a problem, but if the channel policy is to keep idle ops there, don't make them all from the same address, excessive cloning is raises hackles, uses bandwidth, and consumes available ports. I know, it doesn't sound like a big deal, but nebula is limited to 300 users now because of bandwidth used by clones in the past, so fallout matters, bandwidth costs real money. > > Eww, Verison sucks. *many* irc clients can be found at: > > http://www.valinor.sorcery.net/clients/ Valinor has quite a few good reference pages. The owner is a published book author, and was in on the development of XML standards, and still is quite active in web standards. I've known him online for 3 years or so. He once owned a server on dalnet. Many irc ops on SN were opers on dalnet, and left to form a better and more stable net. That being said, Nexus is being upgraded today with new hardware, to try to offset some bad transatlantic connections. > Sorry, I meant version. I was playing! Tiggr is on 24-7, and i am on at least 2 hrs a day, often more,, like 10hrs/day in winter (much less in summer). Kat
