Slight issue with String.e in ESL?

I noticed that the routines in string.e are "local" instead of "global", thus would not serve well as library routines. I'd thought I would mention this before too much development goes underway. It would become a real problem, real quick :P. Perhaps this is intentional, but I surely could not imagine why. Regards, Vincent
