I've always been one to type carriage returns manually when composing e-mails. I don't like to rely on software to do it for me. Also, when you quote material with one or more levels of '>', wrapping can create a very messy display on your screen. I guess what we can do though, is eventually have more "Settings" that people can specify for controlling stuff like this. We considered having "password" as a setting, but it looked a bit complicated and we felt very few people had any need to choose a new password, given the cookie system.
