Hi Greg,

Well, a zero is a good idea (not the text ascii for a zero but an
actual zero ie char=0) but there is another problem...the user might
not be able to 'type' it in with a standard keyboard. Ok, so maybe
a #01 instead, but still cant type it in normally.
For myself, i dont have any problem with using the ALT + number
codes, but a non-savy computer user might not understand how to do
that, or why it's necessary.  Also, i was hoping to get something
also so generic that it will show up ok in any text editor, and 
sometimes they vary on how (if at all) they display low or high
value bytes (like 01 or FF for example).

See what im running into here?
