I thought there was a long word for it , but I guess not. I know what it means and is used for. Don Cole ------------- I just looked up the character list for the latest version of Unicode. They know about "ampersand" for "&", and they refer to the "@" sign as "at". French use "arrobas" or "arrobasque" for it, that's perhaps the word you are thinking to. Note that French call the "&" "eperluette" (starting with an e acute). CChris
