From: Chris Bensler <bensler at telus.net> > Is there general language obfucated code contest? That might be a start. There is, but Euphoria isn't a good language for obfuscating code. Besides, Perl programs win every time, without even trying to obfuscate. Better would be for someone (several of us, actually) to submit Euphoria versions of the Great Computer Shootout tests: http://www.bagley.org/~doug/shootout/ > RDS could also consider commissioning some people to develop a high end > commercial application using Eu and put it on the retail market. I think EU > is capable enough. > I think that is one of the most overwhelming factors of Eu's success. > Nobody else has done it. Why would others think that they can? Good point. The application would have to be chosen carefully, however. Something that didn't need threads, and that didn't need internet connectivity, and that didn't need to share data with other Windows programs, for example. So what would that high-end commercial application be? Any suggestions? Regards, Irv
