http://www.sysinternals.com grab a copy of everything these guys have to offer. they're free utilities for TCP/IP scanning, file monitoring, process exploring, registry monitoring, etc..etc. I like the process explorer because it will show all of the running processes on my machine and let me kill any of them, if I see fit. If Im not mistaken, they also have a application explorer to show/dump memory, in otherwords, they have some pretty cool stuff.
