eu questions

i'm currently writing a web server in java(thought it'd be best for the 
job, and it is) and use exw for cgi(i'd rather use something i'm 
familiar with than learn perl). well, here are my eu questions

1. is there any way to completely supress the crash message? if my 
script crashes, i want the server to report it instead of a console 
window hanging there until i hit enter
2. is there any way to write ASCII 0's to stdout? it sounds weird, but 
it's for a password script
