I keep thinking that too. The longest full path/filename is 125 bytes long, and 1000's of files with shorter path/filename were written after that one, and are apparently good files. There's 14,172 files in that directory, using 17,223,890 bytes, and 11.4 gigs free on the drive. I "dropped" to dos and did a dir > textfile on it to get those numbers. But the directory is full. So are two other directories now, with slightly different quantities of files. Kat
