1. Yes.
2. GTK 1.2
3. I think it would pretty much do and feel the same. However, i'm not too
sure of that. You can always download GTK 1 stuff if there's a problem.

Matt mentions in the documentation that when he upgrades the wxWidgets 
version that he uses, wxEuphoria will then use GTK 2+
