Turns out that my glutCreateWindow problem appears to be Windows XP 
related... Mic's demos work fine on Windows 2000 (even when using latest 
glut32.dll).  Daniel Kluss' demos kinda work on Windows 2000 but I'm not 
sure if they are working properly.

Looks like glut is another situation where we need support for 'cdecl' 
functions...
