Hi Derek,
Thanks for answering my query. I had tried writing Control Z to the text file
but it was not interpreted as end of file. I can't understand how the system adds
the actual eof marker. I have decided to do as you suggested and add a marker at
the end of the new data and to only read that far when I use the file for input.
