Ken, I would definitely be interested in seeing a mailing list
collection happen.
I've seen some very neat code snippets on here. I used to print them out
and put them in a notebook before I got too busy to keep up.
However, as is my personality, I'm not satisfied with just that. Might I
make a few suggestions? Too bad, I'm going to do it anyway.
1) Open it up for contributions from anyone. Post the suggestions here
and let people discuss whether they should be included. If we can arrive
at a consensus, we'll add them. I know that I have some code from a
couple of people you haven't mentioned, at the very least.
2) Consider the possibility of us making this a tutorial-like section in
addition to just code snippets, possibly written as an HTML file. I'm no
programmer - I can't read code worth anything. But I can read tutorials,
and even understand up to intermediate level if they're written well. I
suspect I am not alone here. I'm not talking standard novice
how-to-get-started tutorials, but just a good walkthrough of the code
snippets to get from a novice to an intermediate or from an intermediate
to an advanced level in Eu.
3) Notice the use of "we" and "us". For once, this is something I think
I can help with! And I've got a small bit of time to chip in if you're
interested. If nothing else, I can do basic HTML. It's one skill I have
picked up.
I'll look for my notebook and see what I can of other's contributions.
