Thanks Caballero, But for now I'll follow Irv & Bernie's suggestion & see if I can get Win32Lib to work with the Win3.1 computer, as it does seem to have win32's on it; if that fails, I'll take you up on your offer of help. I did see the IsPlaying function in sfx2.e, but didn't immediately see how to use it; was probably easier than I thought.
