libgpm.so.1?

I just installed LoopLinux on my laptop.  I then installed the
Euphoria package for Linux; there were no errors reported for the
installation.  However, when I went to run one of the demos, exu
reported that it could not find a file called libgpm.so.1.  Now,
I have something called gpm on the system whose man/info page
says that it's basically the equivalent of MOUSE.COM, so one
presumes that the missing file is needed for mouse support in
Euphoria.  So, where do I find this file?
