I take it that you find "plug and pray" and it's big brother "universal plug and
pray" to be problem free and painless. As a person who installs systems
for my customers and occasionally builds a system, plug and play has
created more havoc than most things that I can think of. Anybody who
answers the BIOS question, "Is this a Plug and Play capable OS" in the
affirmative is going to need approximately one case of Milk of Magnesia
to "gently" clean out the stopped up plumbing. Even the big boys deliver
systems with that particular option turned off.

Too many big players have gone too far with JAVA for it to die at this point.
As I noted in previous post, EJB has settled down many of the problems.
Also, it might be noted that I have read most of the Sun documentation on
JINI and as much commentary as I could find on the subject. If you have
particular questions or wish to debate a point, please post. If you wish to
control the terms of the debate, I don't believe that you are qualified.
